I am modelling a rolling process, where the roll is connected to springs on both ends. When I was running this analysis without incorporating the springs, it was running fine, but with the springs the simulation crashes as soon as the strip comes in contact with the roll.

Also, the behavior of the roll is inexplicable, as I have constrained it motion in certain directions, but it still shows displacement in these directions. I am attaching the analysis files and some screenshots to better explain the problem. if someone has experience in this regard, an insight would be very helpful.
