Hi everyone, 

My name is MeLanae and I am still new to using SolidWorks and the new 3DExperience platform. I am having issues doing a simple part manipulation. I have two solid parts, one is a lattice structure and the other is a solid rectangle. I am trying to do two things:

1) I have the box placed within the repeating lattice structure so that the lattice is larger than the box and I am trying to figure out the best way to get rid of the excess portion of the lattice that is outside of the box.

2) After I get the first issue taken care of, I will want to subtract the lattice structure from the solid box. I saw that I should be able to use the cut feature for this, but every time I try to access the cut feature, it is unavailable. 

Can anyone please help me with these two issues please?
