Simpack - Wheel Torques as Input in Simpack Rail

I have built a rail vehicle model in Simpack   using standard elements like tracks, rails, RWPs and so on. As input I want to use a torque applied to the wheels to control the longitudinal motion of the vehicle. However, the Vehicle Initial Velocity from the Vehicle Globals seems to determine the velocity regardless of what happens at the wheel level. How can I change this? (For the application of input-torques I just use Force Element 93: Force/Torque by u(t) Cmp.)

So my model should treat the vehicle's longitudinal velocity as an internal state resulting from a given input torque on the wheels. Is this possible?
