I am a beginner in optimisation. I would like to obtain the optimised shape of a shell structure using Abaqus/CAE Optimisation module. I have done a few trials without any success. Sometimes I see the warning related to SHAPE_AUTO_REMOVE_INNER_NODES, that is the inner nodes are excluded from the set of design nodes, and I do not know how to set the option OFF using CAE.

I would like to know whether is it actually possible to obtain an optimised shape of a shell structure using Abaqus/Tosca Optimisation module, as shown in the attached image?

If yes, how to do so?

I have watched the youtube tutorial on shape optimisation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRwB1UDYOow). However, I can not find my solution there.
