Hello everyone,

I am solving high velocity impact testing on a metal plate. Have taken impact velocity of 8000mm/s. When I have measured the residual velocity of the bullet by measuring it from transitional velocity from history output, it is obtained as 8199.54mm/s. 

1) Why do the residual velocity greater than impact velocity?

2) Is transitional Velocity of bullet same as residual velocity of bullet

3) Can anyone help me in providing the steps to find residual velocity 

If at all any other information needed. Will let you know.
