My name is Mutaz and I'm a PhD student at UIC, now I'm trying to model extended shear tab connections, I want to add the effect of residual stresses in the welds that connect the shear tab with the supporting member web, I already create a model with general static analysis and it's working with no error.

Could someone advise me how to add the effect of the residual stresses to the model? should I do thermo-static analysis? and how to perform it?
