I am Suruthi A, currently pursuing my M.E. in Engineering Design at PSG College of Technology, India.

I am working on an academic research project involving FEA analysis of a Gyroid TPMS structure using Abaqus/CAE. I have been working on this project for approximately four months and have completed the geometry preparation, MeshLab remeshing, FreeCAD solid conversion, material definition, assembly, contact setup, boundary conditions, and meshing.

I am currently using Abaqus Learning Edition 2026. However, when I try to proceed with my simulation, I receive the message:

“Learning Edition is restricted to 1,000 nodes.”

My Gyroid model requires a finer mesh for meaningful analysis, and therefore I am unable to proceed within the 1,000-node limitation. I have tried different mesh sizes and several approaches, but I am still unable to complete the simulation.

Since this is an academic project, I would like to kindly request your guidance regarding whether I can obtain access to an academic/student license with a higher node limit, or whether any other legitimate academic option is available for students.

Access to a suitable license would be extremely helpful for me to complete my research project and obtain reliable simulation results.

I can provide my student ID, college details, project details, or any other documents required for verification.

Kindly guide me regarding the available options and the procedure to obtain the required academic access.
