I am working in 3DExperience's Simulia trying to apply a remote inertia to an object that has an initial rotational velocity applied to it. Rather than model out the large attachment hooked to this part, I wanted to apply an inertia and mass to the single part. My current problem is that the initial velocity seems to not apply when the remote inertia is enabled. It acts as if the velocity is worked against by the remote inertia and the part now does not move as it should at the start of the simulation.
When I create a model with the correct properties and attach it to the part the simulation will run accordingly, but it is much more intensive on system resources and I would like to use a remote inertia in its place.
Any ideas or resources for how initial velocities and remote inertias interact?
