I am trying to model a material moel based on uniaxial compression and shear data. However, my material exhibits significant elastic rate dependent regime in uniaxial compression. What I did thus far, was just use an average value, and simulate my compression and shear experiment. However, the simulations are not performing well in shear (see image 1). What I did then I calculated from my shear modulus a new elastic modulus based on the poisson ratio, and repeated my shear simulation (worked better) and my compression, but the former's accuracy diminished. Could you please suggest different things I could try to accurattely simulate stress response in both compression and shear using the same material model?
