Hi all,

i am using Abaqus 6.12 by now.

First, I've got a pressure loaded shell on top.

In the middle there is a continuum element. This is to be converted into particles.

The bottom is an imported element with a surface (containing cavities).

Everthing is fine until the Packager starts running --> there the job does not get further

Reading at the end of the .sta file the following error appears:

***ERROR: The nodes in the Abaqus/Viewer node set "ErrNodeSpaNodeNoMass" have no mass associated with them and some translational degrees of freedom at the nodes are not constrained. Either mass must be defined or all of the translational degrees of freedom must be constrained. See the message file for more detailed information.

Reading the .msg file i am able to understand that the nodes do not have any mass, but how do i assign mass properties to nodes (particles) ?

Can anybody help me to fix my problem?
