Hello,
I am trying to use the Abaqus substructurerecover utility in conjunction with Simpack to recover results within a substructure. However, I am encountering an issue when attempting to import a .txt file containing participation factors of eigenmodes. The error message displayed is as follows:
*ReadSta: This is not a Safe Technology ASCII file or the file is corrupted
*** ERROR reading solutions file: status 101, FT 0, GU 0, GV 0, GA 0
Unfortunately, the Abaqus documentation does not provide clear guidance on the exact format required for the ASCII file (.txt) to be compatible with the recovery utility. Specifically, I need clarification on the following:
- Structure of the Participation Factors File:
- How should the participation factors be organized within the file?
- Should the file include any headers or metadata?
- How should the participation factors for each mode be separated (e.g., line breaks, spaces, commas, or other delimiters)?
- Formatting Requirements:
- Are there specific column alignments or numerical precisions required
- Are there example files available for reference?
Any assistance or examples demonstrating the correct format for this .txt file would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has successfully used the substructurerecover utility with participation factors exported from Simpack, please share insights or recommendations.
Thank you for your support!
