Hi Everyone,
Please Help!!
I am trying to simulate two horn antennas in cross-polarization with a metallic patch at a distance. The goal is to check the s21 (the power reflected from the patch.
Now I would really appreciate if you could help me with:
1. What is the correct way to do this?
I have a 50-60GHz frequency of operation and accordingly, I designed two wideband horn antennas. I rotated one by 90 degrees and assigned each a waveguide port.
How do I verify they are cross-polarized? rotating a horn antenna in real and in simulation is similar? or do I need to define port first and then rotate.
2. Should I use Time domain or frequency domain? I am getting two different results in both.
3. If I do time-domain I can assign user-defined amplitude for port power (-5 dBm for me) I convert it to watts and put it in the amplitude value of port 1 and leave port 2 as zero... is this correct?
I am getting all different responses for all the different versions I am trying. and I am not sure how do I Verify this.
I will be really thankful for your help with this.
Many thanks,
Nad
