I have an orphan mesh of a cylinder made of sand/cement. This cylinder was scanned using CT imaging, and I then used a Python script to generate an input file, which resulted in my orphan mesh.

My goal is to analyze crack development using XFEM. However, I'm encountering difficulties.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Using Special → Crack → XFEM and assigning the entire mesh as an XFEM region.

• Creating a shell, performing an extrusion, and assembling it as an initial crack.

• Using "Create Geometry from Mesh", but I get the error: "Element 24628 is not in the list."

At this point, I’m not sure what else to try. I’d appreciate any help or guidance.
