Hi,

A few papers I have read say that ABAQUS smooths the transition of the shear discontinuity that occurs during rolling when Coulomb friction is assumed. I am wondering how it smooths this friction behaviour and is there some parameter I can alter to lessen/increase the amount of smoothing that is occurring?
