Hello Support,

I was trying to run a  model with non linear cast aluminum material properties.

I usually report Maximum Principal Stress when using linear material.

But when using non-linear material i am getting very high values of stress, even crossing ultimate stress which is very surprising.

When i checked the values for Von Mises stress, it is coming well within the material curve that i defined, but i cant report it because it hold good only for ductile materials.

I want to know why this difference is coming and also in such scenarios what stresses needs to be reported.

I have also attached a pic showing how the Max Principal Stress and Von Mises Stress compares with the True Stress Strain Data for Aluminum.

I want to understand the calculations behind it.

Please treat this extremely urgent.
