Dear Abaqus Community,
I am seeking assistance regarding an issue I have encountered when using the topology optimization module in Abaqus for static topology optimization analysis of a structure.
Prior to the topology optimization process, I was able to successfully perform static analysis on the original structure design and obtain normal results. However, during the topology optimization process, I am encountering non-convergence in the static analysis step.
In other words, the structure is able to undergo standard static analysis outside of the topology optimization workflow, but the static analysis within the topology optimization module is not converging.
I am wondering if anyone in the community can provide some insight into why this non-convergence issue may be occurring specifically during the topology optimization process, even though the static analysis works fine for the original structure design.
Some key questions I have:
1. What are the common causes of non-convergence in the static analysis step during topology optimization in Abaqus?
2. Are there any specific settings or parameters in the topology optimization module that I should check or adjust to address the non-convergence issue?
3. Are there any best practices or tips you can share for ensuring robust static analysis convergence within the Abaqus topology optimization workflow?
Any guidance or suggestions from the Abaqus community would be greatly appreciated. I am eager to resolve this issue and successfully complete my topology optimization study.
Thank you in advance for your time and support.
Best regards,
Huiyang
