New to SIMULIA - Mesh generation always crashes

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for help with a recurring error I'm encountering in 3DX SIMULIA Linear Structural Validation. I’m new to using SIMULIA on the 3DX platform and am currently trying to conduct a structural analysis of a simple bending scenario. As shown in the attached image, the issue arises at the first step of my analysis. I have two parts designed in SOLIDWORKS for which I initiated a new simulation study in SIMULIA. However, every time I attempt to 'Generate Mesh', the PLM window update freezes at 66%, and no further progress is made. I've waited between 40 minutes to an hour, only for SIMULIA to eventually stop responding and crash my system.

I initially thought there could be an issue with my CAD model. However, I get the same error even after trying basic part files downloaded from 'Introductory SIMULIA tutorials'. I've tried both reducing the "number of elements per hole" to 4 and increasing the element size to lessen the computational demand. However, the problem remains unresolved.

My laptop is equipped with an i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, meeting the recommended specifications for SIMULIA. I'm really confused about this error, and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to resolve this issue.
