Due to some reasons I have to use Abaqus CAE for MBD simulation instrad of using SIMPACK. I am struggling in modelling MBD setup involving some connector elements, spring/dashpot elements used to connect 6 parts. In Abaqus, rigid bodies can be generated by two ways. 1. Create a deformable part and then add Rigid Body constraint. 2.Directly create discrete rigid part. I am very much confused which approach to follow. I want to simulate only the rigid body dynamic motion and generate acceleration, veloticy, displacement profiles for some of the components. Can anyone provide me with some guidelines regarding MBD setup in abaqus.
