Hello All,
I am modeling a collapsing sand(soil) column using Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian(CEL)-I used the CEL approach instead of DEM/SPH because the CEL element supports thermal loads.
To this end, I typed in soil's property via the Drucker-Prager model (including Equation of State) and applied gravity load to soil column. Ultimately, I would like to model continuum that can support a load like solid, but can also flow like a liquid.
My simulated result shows the soil column still maintain cylindrical shape--even I made the column to do a free fall.
I would be grateful for any input and advice pertaining to this problem. Thanks.
