I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this before I set up and run cases to test. I am unsure if the meshed beam cross section tool is capable of handling meshes that are tied together, or if the elements must all have coalesced nodes for the solver to recognize that they are connected. For the example taken from the documentation, if the webs were tied to the airfoil skin instead of merged nodes, would the tool recognize that?
