What I intend to do is to facilitate material library for Abaqus.

To start with, I was able to create a material library from within Abaqus GUI, and include couple of material definitions into it. The same when saved got created as a file (say ExternalMaterialLibrary.lib) in the file system. A look at the file content (using any text editor) shows the library definition and corresponding material and its properties. But, the schema (or specification) of this file is not clearly understood.

Well; am I in the right direction? If yes, where to get the schema/specification for creating material libraries from outside of Abaqus interface?
