Layup orientation

Hi,

I'm modelling a composite L-section made of solid elements with a [+45,-45,90,0]2s stacking sequence, which is a quasi-isotropic layup. In properties, I can successfully define the ply orientations using coordinate system, discrete geometry etc. However, when I plot symbols of S11, Abaqus shows ±45 direction as direction 1. I can define an own coordinate system and transform the results, but this way I cannot plot for example the normal stress of the horizontal and vertical flange, as they represent two different directions in global coordinate system, that's why I need Abaqus to recognise local coordinate systems and plot in that for the whole part.

If I'm using a plate with same layup it recognises direction 1 correctly.

Adding material orientation to the part does not help.

What's the problem? Why does it recognise ±45 direction?

Thank you
