I'm facing a challenge in Abaqus CAE while attempting to merge two nodes using the 'Merge Nodes' option under 'Edit Mesh'. I receive an error message stating: "Part instances with orphan elements cannot be edited by this operation. Instead, try the operation on the associated part."
Is there an alternative method or workaround to successfully merge nodes in Abaqus CAE when dealing with orphan elements? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
