Issue with Dynamic Implicit Simulation in Abaqus – Rotational Velocity Not Producing Motion

Hello everyone,

I am working on a dynamic implicit simulation of a single-cylinder engine in Abaqus. In my setup, I have assigned a rotational velocity to one of the gears that is attached to the crankshaft. Before running the analysis, I performed a data check, and no errors or warnings were reported.

However, after completing the simulation, I was surprised to see that there was no movement of the gear to which the rotational velocity was applied.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? What could be the possible reasons for this, and how can I resolve it? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
