I am encountering an issue when running some jobs using GPGPU acceleration where the job will start running with no issues and the job will increment to a certain point, but then stop incrementing. However, ABAQUS CAE will still say the job is running and won't abort. I check the CPU and GPU usage in task manager and both will be idle, even though ABAQUS CAE says the job is running. If I run the job using only multiple processor parallelisation then the job will run fine and complete. However, I am running quite long dynamic implicit models that see a significant reduction in runtime when both multiple processor parallelisation and GPGPU acceleration are utilised so I would prefer to use both.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and know of a fix? Any help would be much appreciated. My GPU is a NVIDIA Quadro RTX5000. I have successfully used GPGPU acceleration in the past using Abaqus 2019, however I have been encountering this issue with both Abaqus 2020 and Abaqus 2021.
