In a paper it says that, "In the first step, a “global” free field model is employed to simulate the evolution of soil movement during the landslide event. In the second step, an extremely fine “local” model is introduced comprising the pipeline and portion of the surrounding soil. The computed displacement time histories from the first step (global model) are imposed as boundary conditions to the local model.".
So, I would like to know how to perform the second step where the results from first step is set as a boundary conditions in second step?
