Hi Members,

I'm an Abaqus user currently working on a tee model, as shown in the figure attached, the stress concentration is seen at tee connecting region. This is a pure pressure loading case and fillet radius at connecting region is about 10mm. C3D8R elements was used.

I was wondering whether I can minimize the max Mises stress by optimise the geometry around the connecting region or not? If yes, what's the best way to proceed? Not experienced on optimisation and Abaqus is the only tool.
