How to define Orientation in UMAT / UMAT only considers global orientation

Dear Learning-Community,

Thank you a lot for the help in the past. Today I was checking if my UMAT was running correctly, as I am trying to model an orthotropic material. I was under the assumption that the stress vector (STRESS) as well as the strains (STRAN/DSTRAN) are always considered as local orientation, taking the "Material Orientation" into account which I am applying in the "Part"-section of my model. However as I am changing the material orientations my results do not change, they are always considered as the global orientation.
I am aware that it is hard to find my error without me publishing the UMAT, but I am really only considering the STRESS and DSTRAN vectors as they come, so everything else I am doing should not matter for the strain and stress orientation.
I have tried only search functions before but they are telling me to include a *ORIENTATION, which I believe I am doing with my "material orientation" is the "Part"-section.

Do you maybe know where I am going wrong? Is this a common occurence in the UMAT programming?

Any help would be great. Again, thank you all for the help provided so far!

Best Regards,

Lennart
