Hi everyone,

I am running simulations of composites materials undergoing various types of loading conditions. The material properties used contain both damage initiation and damage evolution criteria (i.e. Hashin), and the damage status can be requested through output requests.

However, I could not find the options to enable element deletion once the material is fully degraded (i.e. damage variable = 1). I remembered this option can be enabled quite easily in Abaqus. However, that does not appear in the 3DExperience platform. I have gone through the documentation and I also could not find the related section of element deletion except element deletion for cohesive elements.

Does this mean we would need to manually insert the keyword using Keyword Editor to do so in the platform? If so, I am after some guidance, examples, and/or tutorials to learn.
