Hi. I am trying to model a Rubber metal Bonded product which has a constant vertical load. I want to check the horizontal deformation over a constant vertical load. So on ABAQUS, I created one step with vertical pressure load. In step 2, I have added a horizontal displacement and kept the degree of freedom free in vertical direction. But this is not giving me the desired results as there is some change in vertical load after horizontal load is applied. How shall i fix the constant vertical load? the top horizontal displacement is given on a kinematic coupled node.
