I am trying to simulate the bending of a wire with an 8mm diameter into a perfect semicircular shape in Abaqus, so I can evaluate the bending stresses. After that, I also need to simulate twisting the wire to determine the torque required for the twist. This is part of a project for a wire bending and twisting machine.

I have attempted various methods, including using an amplitude to enforce displacement, but I keep running into issues and can't achieve the desired results. Could anyone please guide me on how to properly set up the simulation for both bending and twisting in Abaqus?
