I am a graduate student and am running a geotechnical model for soil reinforcement in abaqus_extended. I have access to 2 CAE and 18 tokens which nobody else can access. But recently, I ran into a problem where the job just queues and does not run. I scour the forums and find that maybe I don't have enough tokens and then I search the number of tokens I need to run my analysis and it turns out I need only 8 tokens (running 4 parallel cores, explicit analysis). Please correct me if this information is wrong. Also, I have tried running with single CPU and it still is in queue and does not run (I am talking more than 7 days here). Now it seems even the standard analysis is being queued. I extracted the log from license server and it says "Users are queued for this feature. (-24,332:104 "Connection reset by peer")"; which my IT support person deciphered as I am requesting for more tokens than I have access to. The problem I am facing is I don't know how I could be accessing more tokens than I have because I tried running a 100 element 2D model (Standard) with only one cpu and it still is being queued. Also, the IT person is positive that the number of tokens (18) are still only accessible by me and no one else. Does anyone have any idea how I could be requesting for more tokens than I have access to. My model is around 100,000 elements, with inbuilt material definitions and I am running both standard and explicit analysis. My IT support says maybe getting more tokens might help but I am not sure I want to get more tokens before I figure out the problem and am certain getting more tokens can help. Also, I am running abaqus_extended 6.13-2 if that is relevant and makes a difference.
I understand its more of a licensing issue but would be grateful for any input from the forum. Thank you in advance.
