Hello everyone,

I am working with Abaqus and need to convert an orphan mesh into geometry for re-meshing. I found the famous Mesh to Geometry (Mesh2Geom) plugin posted by Katie COREY, which can do this job.

However, I only have a regular free SIMULIA community account. When I try to download the attachment from the original post, I get a permission error:

You don't have the right permissions to download this media. Please contact your administrator for assistance.

I would like to ask the community:

1. Is there any public/free way to obtain this Mesh to Geometry plugin for ordinary free accounts?
2. Are there other free Abaqus Python scripts or open-source plugins to create geometry from orphan mesh?
3. What are the differences between the native Abaqus geometry-from-mesh tool and this Mesh2Geom plugin, in terms of performance and limitations?

My goal: convert orphan mesh to geometry so I can re-mesh the model for simulation.
