I want to do a modal analysis of a composite part, using a general shell stiffness section assignment. I've entered the stiffness values, and the density. However it is not clear to me how to tell Abaqus how thick the laminate is, so that the mass can be accurately calculated using the density and volume. I need the mass accurate in order for the modal to be accurate. Any help here? The user assistance doesn't have a ton of content related to general shell stiffness.
