Hi all,

When i am submitting a job in Abaqus/Standard with an initial increment of 1, 0.1 or 0.01, it calculates, but when i am using a smaller increment (starting from 0.001) Abaqus can't find convergence. In the .sta file, you can see that the incrementation goes smaller and smaller when suddenly it hits the floor limit. In the msg file:

DISP.    CORRECTION TOO LARGE COMPARED TO DISP.    INCREMENT

***NOTE: THE SOLUTION APPEARS TO BE DIVERGING. CONVERGENCE IS JUDGED UNLIKELY.

and at the end

***ERROR: TIME INCREMENT REQUIRED IS LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SPECIFIED

The simulation is displacement driven. Does anyone has an idea why this is happening? I need small incrementations to achieve very accurate calculations. Also double precision is used in my calculations.
