In an Abaqus/Standard → Standard import analysis, elements that were removed using MODEL CHANGE, REMOVE in the original analysis become active again after import.

If I remove them again in the first step of the import analysis, the initial equilibrium is disturbed due to stress redistribution.

My model is built as an assembly of part instances, so I cannot use selective import based on element sets.

Is there a workaround to keep these elements inactive in the import analysis without altering the imported equilibrium state?
