Hi everyone,
I'm confused a question for a long time. The question is "what's the difference between analytical rigid plate and discrete rigid plate."
What I knew already is that analytical rigid can only draw part with simple shape and don't need to create mesh on it. I have used both of them before but I can't distinguish the difference between them. Is there any suggestion like which one is more suitable for
specific problem i.e, discrete rigid is more appropriate about contact problem?
Besides, Abaqus is based on Finite Element Method, but why analytical don't need to create mesh on it's part?
Thanks,
Adam Cheng
