I have designed several antennas using CST Studio Suite. But I was always troubled about the question regarding the principle on which integral and time domain solver works. Ultimately it solves the Maxwell's equation, but using which method??? Like a freeware 4nec2 which is designed for wire antennas uses  MoM (Method of Moments) to solve the potentials and thereby getting the H and E fields.
