Hi,
what is the best approach to simulate the cooling effect of an electrical heating element in a squared pipe with a fan attached to on end for cooling purposes?
I tried the Thermal transient solver with a moving media attached to a block of air which goes through the pipe. Further I tried to replicated the use case with the CHT solver and the Fan source. In both cases i replicated the heating element with a heat source and a total power attached to it. For the background media i chose air as a material. It seems that in both cases no real "moving" of air is simulated. In comparison to that, a steady simulation of the heating element seems to work properly.
Maybe i did not fully understand the Motion and Source blocks completely because i am not a mechanical engineer in the first place. I already read the Help Contents inside the software but they give too few information in some cases.
