CST - Studio becomes really slow whenever I select a component.

Hello,

I am using the CST Studio Suite on a PC with an Intel i5 3470, using the iGPU, and 16 GB RAM.

I noticed that whenever I select a Component in the Modeling section that the program becomes really slow. Like really slow. You pick a component and it takes almost 10 seconds until the red wireframe disappears and it is "highlighted". (The other components turn transparent.)

Try to move the camera in the 3D view and it takes 5 seconds from the click and drag motion until the camera actually moves.

Right click on Properties of a Component takes 3-4 seconds until the History Tree windows pops up. It becomes so slow that it makes working with it a chore.

When I deselect all Components (doubleclick into the 3d Window) the program runs normal again.
I tried to monitor CPU, GPU and Memory usage but couldn't notice anything suspicious. No sudden CPU usage spike, no increased GPU utilization, at least not that I could see, and still 11+GB RAM usable.

Now for the interesting part. When I select a component everything becomes slow. Now I click on Picks and place it on any point in the 3d model and once it is properly picked the speed is normal again.

I can select other components within a fraction of a second, it works like the program is supposed to work.

Has anyone ever noticed something like this and knows how you can fix this?
