CST - Spatially varying material doesn't seem to work properly?

Hi all!

i want to create a spatially varying material and i am wondering how to use this feature correctly. In the long term i want to load data from my own files, where i have defined the spatial dependency. But to test this feature out, i created a material with the build-in macro 'Define Material from Analytical Function', which in turns creates a material map file, which is loaded in CST. If i now take a look at this newly created material, it shows in the bottom left corner (correctly i think): 'Type normal, epsilon 1 (map based), mu 1'.

But if i now asign this material to some block and then simulate my model, the spatial variation doesn't seem to do anything, the result is the same as if this block has an epsilon of 1. This behaviour is not dependent on what i put into the macro (function, range etc), the easiest example would be to define a constant function with a somewhat high epsilon, say 10, but when i simulate this, i get no reflection from a plane wave impinging on this block, it behaves the same as if epsilon=1.

Is this a known bug or am i missing some steps?

Thank you in advance!
