I am investigating the effect of different screen types on the shielding effectiveness of cables.
As a start, I used the sample model "Triaxial Setup" from Component Library as the base model and modified the screen from "Braid" to "Foil Spiral Wrapped + Braid". It is expected that the double braid of "Foil Spiral Wrapped + Braid" will have better screening performance than the "Braid" alone.
From my simulations, the screening attenuation of the double braid setup is the "same" as the braid only setup, and I am NOT getting the expected results. More details of my simulation setup and results on the attached PDF. Kindly check it.
What could be contributing to this effect? I appreciate any ideas you might have.
