I am currently working on a university research project focused on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), particularly on electromagnetic modelling and hardware implementation.

I am reaching out to ask for the recommended simulation workflow for RIS within CST Studio Suite  . Specifically, I would like to better understand the strategies for transitioning from unit cell characterization to full-wave simulations

Currently, I am modelling the unit cell, extracting the far-field response and then use array task with array factor to create phase distributions across the surface thus obtaining the beamformed result, but I believe I should also do full-wave simulations for more realistic results. I am using CST 2025.

Additionally, if there are any application notes or example projects you would recommend, I would greatly appreciate it.
