With CST Studio Suite I performed a monostatic RCS analysis with the asymptotic solver, setting the parameters as in the attached figure. The simulation ends correctly and the results are given to me in two separate folders within 'Farfields':
- (f = 9.5), theta = (0,180,0.1), phi = (0,270,90), HP (1) (Total) [pw]
- (f = 9.5), theta = (0,180,0.1), phi = (0,270,90), VP (1) (Total) [pw].
I have the following questions:
1) I set (as seen in the attached image) 4 different phi angles: 0 °, 90 °, 180 °, 270 °. However in the folder names in 'Farfields' (written above) I only read 3 phi angles. Why?
2) Selecting one of the two available results, setting a variable theta angle and a constant phi angle in the Farfield plot, I can see different results even if I set a phi angle that is different from the 4 angles required in simulation. Is it interpolating in some way?
3) I can ask to visualize the results with a theta step size even lower than the one set in simulation (from the attached image, equal to 0.1 °). Even here, is it interpolating? If yes, according to what criterion? I didn't find anything about it in the CST documentation.
Thanks in advance.
