Hello,
i work on a Reflectarray Unitcell with PIN Diodes as discrete Switches. For simplification i replaced the ON and OFF states with copper bridges. I can switch between the states by "sweeping" the length of the copper bridge. This works fine and results show expected phase differences between the states. However i can't figure out how to automaticly compute the difference with Result Templates. The best i could do was manually moving the two S-Parameters (with different RunIDs) and differentiate by using the "Mix Template Results".
Sadly this method requires manual selection of the two RunIDs which correspond to the two diode states. Additionally i can't set a goal within the optimizer since two simulations have to be carried out to compute the phase difference.
I tried to work around this problem by using ADS co-simulation with a dynamic link. However activating the Cosim throws an error when creating the design kit component. This happens only when using Floquet ports with periodic boundaries.
Is there a better method to simulate discrete states and automaticly compute the difference (of phases)? Alternatively i would love to hear if somebody used ADS Cosim with Floquet-Ports.
Thanks in Advance!
Edit: The used expression for manually computing the phasedifference is UPhD(A,180) - UPhD(B,180)
