Hello everyone,
A while ago, I posted a question here about an error I encountered while running the CST optimizer, and I couldn't figure out what was causing it. As we all know, CST Studio Suite introduced a great feature in 2022 that significantly reduced optimization time—the sensitivity analysis with the Trust Region Framework optimizer. Here's the issue: If you have multiple waveguide ports parallel to each other, you must place them on a single plane; otherwise, you'll encounter the error message 'Non-contiguous UIDs detected. This effect might be caused by internal waveguide ports. The 'move mesh' and 'structure sensitivities' features currently do not support internal waveguide ports.'
I'm curious if anyone else has faced this problem. I'd say it's a bug because this is not a internal port .
