I am simulating in CST Studio Suite 2022 RF fields applied to metallic electrodes (yellow) and optical modes guided in dielectric waveguide (turquoise).
The RF and optical simulations are performed with the frequency domain solver in separate CST files and different project templates ("Microwaves & RF / Optical -> Circuit & Components" and "Microwaves & RF / Optical -> Optical Applications").
How can I calculate the following overlap between RF and optical modes?
Is it possible to perform both simulations in the same file? Would is simplify the overlap calculation?
- G is the gap between the electrodes (yellow)
- V is the voltage between the two electrodes
- The integral is taken over the dielectric (turquoise) in cross-section
- E_opt is the E-field of the optical mode
- E_rf,z is the horizontal E-field component of the RF mode
Thanks.
