I made a model of a lithium lens in CST Studio Suite, where a 400 us excitation signal is applied to a lithium cylinder with a titanium shell. This is similar to a coaxial cable with two conductors.
Because of the skin effect, the electric current mostly flows near the surfaces of the lithium cylinder and the titanium shell.
I would like to calculate the magnetic field H_theta (where r, theta, and z are the cylindrical coordinates) in the lithium cylinder at t=270.51 us after the beginning of the excitation signal. The excitation signal was imported from an ASCII file.
It looks like the simulations will take about a day or more, and I'm wondering if someone could perhaps take a look at my file and check if the model is indeed as I described. I think it looks correct, but I'm not completely sure.
