Hi,
I am trying to run some simulations with some IBIS models.
Specifications of those models:
For RX
All models with ‘LTI’ in their names are Linear Time Invariant (LTI) models. This LTI model only
contains the Rx AFE model (with AFE nonlinearities and AFE noise turned off). It can be used with
either bit-by-bit (time domain) simulation mode or the statistical simulation mode of the channel
simulator.
All models with no ‘LTI’ in their names are Non-Linear Time Variant (NLTV) models. This NLTV model
contains the entire Rx AFE/CDR/DFE/Retimer model and must be used with the Channel
Simulator bit-by-bit (time domain) simulation mode. The AFE nonlinearities and AFE noise are
turned on.
For TX
Models with the ‘10G’ or ‘8G” reference *.ami files that define the jitter at the specific data rate of
10Gbps or 8Gbps for the model. The models that do not have the ‘10G’ or ‘8G’ designation do not
have jitter data defined.
No matter of the mode I am using (transient or statistical) either I have error for TX (saying that I have to use statistical mode if I am running transient mode) and vice versa for RX.
Any help or hint would be very appreciated.
Thanks.
Ciprian
