I want to plot the colormap of the E-field distribution over a surface at a specific time instant (2.1us) using CST MWS. The diagram for my setup is attached here. As seen from the 1st fig., I have two parallel plates, the top plate(+1V) & bottom plate(0V, ie, ground). There is a dielectric slab on top of the ground plate and 31 metallic cylindrical buttons on top of it. The excitation is a double exponential signal. After simulation, an E-field is generated. As shown in the 2nd figure, I want to calculate the distribution of E-field in the gap between 2 metallic buttons. Thus, I created a 3-D polygon and made a face from the curve. Now, can anyone help me calculate the distribution of the E-field strength in the gap between the two metal buttons represented in the form of a colormap at a particular time instant (2.1us)? I looked in the CST studio's post-processing section but couldn't get the desired results. Please let me know if somebody has any ideas about how to proceed. Thanks.
